The Guinness Global Energy Fund seeks long term capital appreciation through investment in listed equities of companies engaged in the exploration, production and distribution of oil, gas and other energy sources. We believe that over the next twenty years the combined effects of population growth, developing world industrialization and diminishing fossil fuel supplies will force energy prices higher and generate growing profits for energy companies.
The fund is run by lead manager Tim Guinness, a portfolio manager with over 27 years experience, alongside co-managers Ian Mortimer and Will Riley. The team ran the hugely successful Investec Global Energy Fund from 1998-2008. The unique investment philosophy, methodology and style which characterize the Guinness approach have remained constant.
Tim Guinness says stock prices are lagging the oil spot price – but they will catch up.
